On December 25, at the press conference on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Xiangyang, Guo Bing, Party Group Secretary and Director of the Science, Technology, Economy, and Information Bureau of Xiangzhou District, said that digital transformation among SMEs in Xiangzhou has shifted from breaking the ice to accelerating, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the district's industrial economy.

Guo Bing told reporters that Xiangzhou District had 22 enterprises targeted under the national SME digital transformation program. So far, 25 enterprises have signed up, of which 23 have completed transformation and passed acceptance. Under the provincial target, 18 enterprises were assigned, 22 have signed up, and 21 have completed transformation and passed acceptance.

To advance the digital transformation of SMEs, at the beginning of this year Xiangzhou District comprehensively reviewed 45 enterprises eligible for the pilot program and led industry experts and service providers to visit them one by one. Enterprises were categorized by basic conditions and willingness to transform, and a one-enterprise-one-file ledger was established. At the same time, a technical advisory group was formed to carry out one-on-one diagnostics and tailor-made transformation plans for enterprises that did not dare to transform. For enterprises unwilling to transform, officials repeatedly visited them to publicize subsidy policies and effectively dispel their concerns.

In addition, Xiangzhou District has insisted on leadership from industry frontrunners, taking the lead in promoting digital transformation among leading enterprises such as Jihua 3542 Textile Co., Ltd., Hubei Jinhengchang Textile Co., and Xiangyang Changyuan Donggu Industry Co., Ltd. It has also focused on the integrated development of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent operations and maintenance at enterprises such as Xiangyang Guotie Electromechanical Co., Ltd. and Hubei Kede Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., building demonstration scenarios for digital transformation applications and using visible results to stimulate enthusiasm across the industry. So far, 80 percent of reserve enterprises for digital transformation in the district's textile and equipment industries have signed up to participate.

Supported by Internet of Things and big data technologies, the district is promoting the transformation of enterprise business models from single-product delivery to product-plus-service, providing solutions for advanced manufacturing enterprises to shift from production-oriented manufacturing to service-oriented manufacturing.
