About 60 days later, a set of high-end customized home furnishings will set sail on its long journey. This efficient and technology-filled production scene has now become commonplace in Nanxun.

Facing market changes and homogenized competition, Nanxun's wood industry has set its sights on becoming the Capital of China's High-End Customized Home Furnishing and launched a systematic transformation featuring deeper vertical development and broader horizontal expansion. This traditional industrial cluster, which has more than 2,000 manufacturing enterprises and output value exceeding RMB 10 billion, is undergoing a comprehensive renewal from products and services to the industrial ecosystem.

At the Bo'er Customized Flooring Innovation Institute in Nanxun Economic Development Zone, flooring is no longer a standard product, but a space artwork integrating modern aesthetics with personalized design. Relying on its self-developed system, customers' ideas about color, size, and wood can be quickly transformed into 28,000 visualized solutions. At present, annual design and R and D spending by wood enterprises above designated size in Nanxun is growing by nearly 30 percent, and innovation has become the core driving force behind industrial upgrading.

Driven by the engine of digital transformation, more and more enterprises are shifting from selling single products to providing complete home solutions. At Henry Milan Wood Industry in Nanxun Town, customers need only provide style and floor plan requirements, and then can work with designers to jointly plan the space. In the past two years, more than 40 wood enterprises above designated size in Nanxun have completed similar transformations, with average output value rising by about 20 percent.

Industrial upgrading cannot happen without ecological support. Nanxun has integrated seven segmented industry associations and established a home furnishing association to connect the entire chain of design, R and D, manufacturing, and testing, while also promoting greener development. By hosting the Global High-End Customized Home Furnishing Design Conference and launching the High-End Home Furnishing Innovation Research Plan, Nanxun has linked up with global creativity and cutting-edge technology. Nanxun has also introduced policies to encourage technological upgrading and innovation. Over the past two years, wood enterprises above designated size in Nanxun have implemented more than 130 key technological transformation projects, with annual investment in such upgrades growing by more than 15 percent. At present, the share of output value from high-end customized products has risen to 35 percent, and the shortest delivery cycle for personalized orders has been reduced from 30 days to about 15 days.

After upgrading, Nanxun's wood industry has significantly enhanced its competitiveness in going global. Since the beginning of this year, the export value of Nanxun wood products has reached RMB 810 million, and international markets have become a new growth point.
